A rain screen composed of wood slats is installed onto an existing structure. Existing window openings are either shaded by the screen, or are punctuated via deep window boxes. These simple devices allow for an interplay between order and randomness on an otherwise inexpressive structure.

Set on an 300 acre ranch just south of Austin, this intervention provides an expansive view of the land - an opportunity that is further enhanced by a series of limestone terraces and porches where people can gather to enjoy the surrounding terrain.
