Situated in the Chihuahuan Desert of West Texas, this graduate studio examined the reciprocal relationship between architecture, landscape, and material. Through abstract spatial studies, precedent analysis, fieldwork, and site-specific design proposals, students explored earthen construction and forms of settlement shaped by climate, terrain, and the cultural conditions of the region.
